Meet Mrs. Nielsen

Hello, my name is Carol Nielsen. I am looking forward to my sixth year of teaching Kindergarten at IPS. I love IPS, my students and families, and the awesome teaching team I feel privileged to work with! Before IPS, my previous teaching experiences included teaching in K, 1st, 5th grade, 5-6th classroom, 5-8th English and Social Studies, 4-9th Gifted and Talented, and a K-8 one room country schoolhouse. My husband, Chris, and I live in Shenandoah. We have 3 sons: Jordon, Troy, and Elliot, his wife, Amanda and their 3 children: Delaney, Avery, and Owen. I love being a Mom and “Nana!” I also enjoy baking, reading, gardening and walking our two labs: Bailey and Izzy.
